MARKS & Spencer is set to open one of its largest food halls in Essex on March 23.
The foodhall in Eastwood Road, Rayleigh will open its doors for the first time on Wednesday, March 23 at 10am. The store, located on the site of a former Co-op store, will offer the 6,000 high quality food and drink items.
The new store will also feature a bakery with a range of speciality breads, pastries and cakes freshly baked in-store each day. For those looking for light refreshments, there will also be a 22-seat M&S café offering takeaway fairtrade tea and coffee.
Alongside food, the new store will feature M&S’s new Convenient Gardener range which includes bulbs, potted plants and a variety of tray plants, ideal for sprucing up the garden in time for spring. There will also be a range of cut flowers.
Shoppers can also order online from M&S and pick items up from the store.
The store will be run by Mike Humphrey who has more than 27 years of experience in the retail industry. He has worked as a store manager for over seven year and was previously the store manager at M&S Brentwood.
Mr Humphreys, said: “I’m delighted that we’re bringing one of the largest M&S Foodhalls in Essex to our customers in Rayleigh. With Easter just around the corner, we’ll be offering our popular Easter collection, from jelly carrots and bunny tins for the little ones through to our popular Easter eggs for chocolate lovers.
“I’m confident our extensive product range, along with our Shop Your Way offering will appeal to locals, as well as those in surrounding areas. I’m looking forward to welcoming everyone to the store.”
M&S Rayleigh, located on 12 – 24 Eastwood Road, Rayleigh, will be open Monday – Saturday from 8am to 8pm and 10.30am – 4.30pm on Sundays.
